As the first month of 2019 is near to an end, there was no better way to amplify our adrenaline by visiting the Arabian Drag Racing League hosted by the Qatar Racing Club (QRC). Known to be largest drag league race outside of the United States, the event attracts motor-head and automobile enthusiasts to witness the fastest (and even furious) motorsport vehicles from the world to compete for a grand prize.
Qatar Racing Club has been established since 2008 and has earned the reputation for being the home of motorsports in the Middle East. Anyone can take partake in their activities, where contestants can showcase the power of their vehicles and put that to a test.
The highlight of the entire event was watching the Nitro Funny Car live in action. For the first time to be exhibited in Qatar, the Nitro Funny Car has made its breakthrough with a monstrous 10,000 hp! It was extremely astounding to watch the flames arise from the wheels. The Nitro Funny Car can speed up to 0-100mph in less than a second.
Aside from the intense action, there was the Al Anabi Market, setup with fairy lights that presented a cozy ambience. There were a variety of cuisines available from outlets such as Steak ‘n’ Shake, La Bruschette and Beit Jeddi Lebanese Restaurant. The restaurants offered a range of comfort food, from pizzas to shawarmas. It was the perfect setting to sit back and end the night with complete satisfaction.
