Today, 28th March 2020, Qatar will observe a lights-out event celebrating Earth Hour. Between 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Qatar citizens and residents will switch off their lights to raise awareness of environmentally-friendly practices and to save planet Earth’s biodiveristy.
H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM), called on all Qatar citizens and residents to follow Earth Hour.
“Join us tomorrow from 8.30pm to 9.30pm to celebrate the #EarthHour and the hope of building a better future for the earth by being responsible citizens, turn off the lights and light the candles instead as a message from Qatar to the world to protect our planet. #EarthHourQatar ” H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani tweeted.
