With the travel restrictions that enforced to control the spread of COVID-19 in Qatar, travelling back to Qatar might seem complicated and difficult.
For your convenience, TIQ has summarized all the steps needed in order to return with ease to Doha:
- Submit an online application to the Qatar Government Website
Under the instructions of the government, entry into Qatar is currently only allowed for Qatari nationals, children and spouses of Qatari citizens, and permanent resident permit holders. Entry is also permitted for regular resident permit holders, subject to re-entry approval.
It will take upto 30 days to get the entry permit approval.
- Book a “Welcome Home Package”
Once you receive the entry permit approval, it’s time to make your flight and hotel bookings. For hotel bookings, the number of days is as per instructed when you receive the approval for your return request.
Those returning to Qatar who have obtained a COVID-free certificate from an accredited COVID-19 testing centre no more than 48 hours before travel will be able to sign a formal pledge to adhere to quarantine at home for a week.
Hotel room bookings are to be done though the Discover Qatar website.
The above steps are applied till 31st December 2020, until further announcements from the government.
