Ministry Of Administrative Labour and Social Affairs announced that expatriates that are denied entry into Qatar due to the travel restrictions can return to Qatar if even they have expired Qatar IDs, once the travel ban is lifted.
Qatari Law states that residents of Qatar cannot stay out of the country for more than six months. Moreover, it is illegal to enter Qatar with an expired Qatar ID/Resident Permit. However, since the Ministry Of Public Health (MOPH) has temporarily banned flights from a number of countries into Qatar, a relaxation was made for those residents of Qatar facing entry restrictions due to coronavirus.
