Each year on the 18th of December, the entire country celebrates Qatar National Day to commemorate the country’s unification in 1878.

Traditional Activities
Qatar National Day Celebrations at Darb al Saai
Celebrations for Darb al Saai commence from the 12th of December onwards. It is one of the major attractions for Qatar National Day celebrations. It is a great opportunity to experience Qatari culture with traditional performances, art exhibits, authentic Qatari cuisine and many more. There will also be various activities such as camel and horse riding, cultural competitions and games for kids to enjoy.
Qatar National Day 2019 Parade
A National Parade is hosted every year of the 18th December, with the participation of Ministry of Interior (MOI), Emiri Guards, Lekhwiya, Civil Defense and other government bodies. The parade will also showcase aerial and sea displays conducted by the airforce and navy.
Qatar National Day 2019 Fireworks
A fantastic and stunning firework display will be taking over the sky to officially conclude the celebrations. You can view them across the Corniche and Katara.
