The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) announced a list of more than 500 consumer good with discounts and reduced prices for the period of Ramadan, effective on 18th April 2020 until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The list includes daily-use products consumed during Ramadan, such as flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, oil, milk, and other food and non-food items who see relatively higher demand during Ramadan.
The ministry stated that this decision came in agreement with all suppliers on products that see increased demands during Ramadan, in order to have sufficient supply at suitable prices. MOCI has circulated the price list to supermarkets and consumers can access it through the ministry’s website.
