MoCI Opens Applications For Development Of 14 Qatari Schools

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) have announced applications of Expression of Interest (EOI) in public-private partnership (PPP) development of 14 Qatari schools.

The 14 schools consist of 4 secondary schools, 5 preparatory schools, 4 primary schools, and a school for special needs. The project will include the design and construction of 14 schools, demolition works in evacuated schools, project financing, operation, and maintenance for a 25-year concession period along with an asset transfer to Ashgal at the end of the period.

With population growth and the increasing number of school enrollment, this step is an attempt to meet the increasing demand in Qatar’s education sector. This project is part of Qatar’s dedication to meet the rising demand in public services, improve infrastructure, and achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The EOI requests invite Qatari and International companies that are capable of delivering this project to show their interest. The qualification request documents will be issued after the ministries receive EOI requests from companies.

Submissions can be sent through Public Works Authority’s website

All needed documents must be sent through email by 9 March 2021, before 1 pm.
