The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) announced “all students in public and private schools, preschools and universities, and suspend the in-person attendance starting Sunday, April 4th,” due to an increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
The decision was made with the Ministry of Public Health in order to ensure the safety of students teachers and administrative staff.
“During the distance learning implementation, teachers will continue to attend schools. The final exams for all grades will be held in person at schools according to the scheduled dates. More procedures to be taken in this regard will be announced in later time,” the Ministry’s statement read.
Despite moving to online learning, “Students are required to give full commitment to their online lessons for their own benefit.”
Parents are urged to cooperate with their teachers, monitor their children’s attendance, and ensure an appropriate educational environment for them.
