Northwesterly Winds Approaching, Temperatures To Dip Low

Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast northwesterly wind expected to affect the country from March 2 until Thursday (March 5) due to the extension of high pressure over the region causing high waves and a drop in temperatures.

The minimum temperature is expected to go down up to 10C, the Department said in a press release issued. The wind is likely to be in ranging in speed, especially during daytime causing blowing dust and dusty conditions at times with poor visibility below 2km in some areas.

Northwesterly winds are accompanied by a decrease in temperatures especially during night hours and early morning with maximum temperatures ranging between 19 to 25 C and minimums between 10 to 17 C. Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious, avoid all marine activities.
