Ooredoo, the region’s leading enabler of digital business innovation, has announced that it will increase the bandwidth allowance for free for all of Qatar’s school and university customers for the rest of the 2020 term, to foster e-learning during the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus.
From yesterday, all of Ooredoo’s educational customers can receive a free bandwidth upgrade until June 2020. As a result, educators, students, and researchers can find continued access to e-learning without any disruption.
Educational customers will need to contact their account managers or 8008000 to request for the free bandwidth upgrade.
Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, PR Director, Ooredoo, said: “In line with our commitment to enriching people’s digital lives, in this time of need, we are increasing for free the bandwidth allowance for all of our educational customers. As a result, educators will be able to offer more online courses, students will be able to collaborate with one another using mobile devices, and researchers can remotely access leading journals.”
This announcement is in line with Ooredoo’s digital transformation partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Ooredoo is connecting teachers, students, parents, and educational leaders to unlock unique learning opportunities and enhance student performance.
