Ministry of Administrative Development Labor and Social Affairs has launched a new hotline on 92727 services for receiving grievances of workers.
The workers can also send text messages adding a digit 5 then their QID numbers or visa number if QID number is not available or expired.
“The new service is launched to communicate with laborers to address their problems in different languages,” said Muhammed Hassan Al Obaidly, Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry.
The Ministry coordinated with the Ministry of Interior regarding the renewal of the residency permit of the workforce which were expired while they are outside of the country and unable to return to Qatar because of crises of coronavirus outbreak.
The residency permits of such a workforce will be renewed automatically and they will be able to come to Qatar when the crisis will end, without any fine.
