2019 has been filled with proud moments for the residents of Qatar, as the Qatar National Team has truly shown their remarkable sportsmanship with the 4-2 victory over UAE.
Akram Ali, who has been recently awarded Asian player of the year, scored the first two goals during the first half of the match while Ali Mabkhout from the UAE scored the first goal.
Qatar captain Hassan Al Haydos scored the third goal, and Bualem Khoukhi concluded with the fourth and final goal for Qatar. The UAE’s second goal was also scored by Ali Mabkhout.
A total of 43,780 spectators were in attendance of the match yesterday.
Qatar is going to be facing Saudi Arabia for the semi-finals this Thursday, the 5th of December 2019. Iraq will face Group B runners-up Bahrain in the other semifinal on Thursday.
