During a field-trip of a media person and community leaders organised by the Ministry of Interior to visit the locked-down streets of Industrial Area, they disclosed that Qatar is building a 150-bed hospital for the workers who are quarantined in Industrial Area after the streets 1 to 32 were locked down to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In addition, there is also a massive emergency department with 40 beds next to the hospital, which can treat thousands of people per day.
During the visit, they were briefed about the arrangements set in place for the workers who are quarantined there.
Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has already set up an outpatient clinic in the area where testing and examination were done and all the needed medication is given free by the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Phase two will commence with the building of the 150-bed hospital in the Industrial Area.
