
Qatar National Day is around the corner and this young nation has come a long way from its inception in 1971. this as a perfect time to celebrate Qatar’s accomplishments and rapid advancements in the fields of education, sports, travel and the arts.
Starting with education The State of Qatar launched an initiative to develop the country’s public education in 2004 under the slogan “Education for a New Era”. It aims to provide better methods of education for the children of Qatar. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education takes on the responsibility of establishing the State’s educational policy. It is also responsible for developing the education plan and overseeing its implementation, in order to achieve Qatar’s 2030 vision of developing the Qatari individual to be able to actively participate in all aspects of life.
In Sports Countries all over the world have praised Qatar in recent years for hosting many great international sports events including the 15th Asian Games in 2006 the 2011 AFC Asian Football Cup and the Arab Games in 2011 and for being the first country in the gulf to be hosting the Fifa World Cup 2022, Qatar is also bidding for hosting rights for the 2023 FIBA World Championship. Qatar is also started Aspire Academy which started 2004 and have been developing strongly through out the years, In 2014, the Qatar U-19 National Football Team , composed solely of past or current Aspire Academy student-athletes, won the 38th edition of the AFC U-19 Championship in Myanmar, for the first time in Qatar’s history.
