The five star Hamad International Airport celebrated 5 years of operation this week which is the largest and Qatar’s principal airport. It has replaced the former Doha International Airport which is located south at the heart of Qatar’s capital, Doha. The airport was opened in 2014 on 27th May.

The USAP results “proved that HIA is one of the safest airports in the world,” the head of the Qatar Aviation Authority (QCAA) said.
