Qatar’s state-of-the-art airport marked the 5th anniversary – Hamad International Airport

The five star Hamad International Airport celebrated 5 years of operation this week which is the largest and Qatar’s principal airport. It has replaced the former Doha International Airport which is located south at the heart of Qatar’s capital, Doha. The airport was opened in 2014 on 27th May.

Hamad International Airport offers a smooth and uninterruptible travel experience with loads of facilities and services for the visitors. The airport has one terminal which is divided into five concourses, namely A, B, C, D and E. It serves as the nerve center for Qatar Airways, which is the national carrier and main operator in the airport. One might need some extra time if travelling to or via Qatar, as Hamad International Airport is considered to be one of the coolest and luxurious airport in the world.

The USAP results “proved that HIA is one of the safest airports in the world,” the head of the Qatar Aviation Authority (QCAA) said.

Some of the main highlights of the airport is the interior of concourse C and the giant bronze Lamp Bear statue.
