The 5th edition of bigbmeetup, Celebrating The Artists of Qatar was held at Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum on 11th January 2020.
The event held at the Museum took people to a museum journey, followed by the panel discussion of the artists and the inauguration of the Art Exhibition.
The participating artists were Othman Khunji, Noor Abuissa, Mariam Al Mulla, Noorr Al Shammri, Mohhamed Faraj Al Suwaidi, Layla Bacha, Hadeel El Tayeb, Fathma Mohammed, Shouq Al Mana, Soumi Masmoudi, Mohammad Khazaei, Maryam Faraj Al Suwaidi, Muna Al Bader, Muneera Al Obaidli and few others.
The artists during the panel discussion spoke about the development of Qatari Art scene development, hardships of artworks, enlightening the differently-abled artists to the community, view on cultures and expressions, their love for art, how learning has enhanced their skills and a lot more.
After the panel discussion, H.E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani inaugurated the venue witnessing the artists and the spectators.
The art exhibits exhibited at the White Majlis gave a space for the artist to convey what their paintings or exhibits had. The pure white space added more life to the exhibits displayed there.
The wonderful artists stole the show on the first day with their wonderful art exhibits. Every art had an in-depth meaning which gave life to each painting and exhibits. If one believes that art is a therapy, it will surely relax one’s mind. Anyone who sees an art can somehow connect it either to one’s life or with reality.
Despite the cold weather, the crowd at the museum kept us all the spectators warm. Those who have missed the first day of the exhibition, you still have days open till the mid of February.
