MIA Park is proud to announce that they will be hosting a mega cultural festival called
“Indian Community Festival” under the theme “Passage to India”! This event will be held at the Museum of Islamic Art’s park by the Embassy of India and Indian Culture Centre (ICC) on January 16 and 17, 2020.
The focus of this event is to highlight the Indian community and its colorful culture. There will be various things present such as colorful cultural programs from Qatar in addition to the different states of India. There will be also life-sized monuments from India displayed such as Al Zubara Fort, Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and stalls to highlight various customs, arts and crafts, textiles, and lastly products from India. In addition to these activities, there will be food outlets by Indian vendors offering various delicious delicacies that come from all over India.
This festival is in order to appreciate the long-term Indian residents of Qatar who have made such huge contributions to the country’s growth. This way we, as a community, can give back and thank them for all they have done.
Passage to India has been done in the years of 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 and in each year, thousands of visitors have been attracted to attend this event.
This year we look forward to making the biggest impact so come and join this festival!
